Stardew Valley 1.6 Is Finally Coming to Consoles. Developer Announces Release Date
The major 1.6 update to Stardew Valley and new features from later patches will hit consoles and mobile devices, though fans will have to wait more than a month.
The release date for the big update to Stardew Valley on other platforms has finally been announced. After more than half a year, Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone could finally confirm when version 1.6 would hit consoles and mobile devices: it will happen on November 4th. This also includes the edition for Nintendo Switch, which the developer mentioned in response to a 's post on X.
Barone also confirmed that the console version will include all minor PC patches released after the launch of the 1.6 update, including the yet unreleased 1.6.9 patch (which will be released on PC roughly at the same time as the major update debuts on consoles). He also reminded of his advice from March: although some of the content will also be available on old save files, it will be best to start the game anew after the update launches.
Fans of Stardew Valley had to wait a long time for this info. Update 1.6 was released on PC on March 19. The new game update was a significant improvement, and later "ConcernedApe" released several minor patches that not only fixed new (or old) bugs but also introduced a few new features.
The announcement of the release date delights not only SV fans playing on consoles and mobile devices. The work on the conversion was distracting the developer from his new game: worried fans force him to take a short break.
