The Last of Us creators are making two games simultaneously, including a secret one
Neil Druckmann confirmed in an interview that, in addition to Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, Naughty Dog studio has another new game in development.
In March, there were rumors going around that Naughty Dog might be secretly working on a new project that we had no idea about. Now these reports have been officially confirmed.

- Druckmann is way more into Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet than the other game. He even collaborates with other devs and writers, and sometimes has to leave the development in their hands for a while. When he returns to it, he likes some of the decisions made, while in other cases changes are necessary.
- Meanwhile, in Druckmann's second, yet unannounced project, he is serving as a developer, and his main job is to mentor the team.

Official and unofficial details of Naughty Dog's mysterious project
In the podcast, they confirmed the earlier reports that Shaun Escayg is leading the team for this mysterious project, just like he did for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Anthony Newman (The Last of Us: Part II) is also involved in it.
Druckmann didn't reveal any specifics about the content and genre of this second project. However, this is not The Last of Us: Part III. Some fans think this could be a new game in the Uncharted series, with Cassie Drake, Nathan's daughter, as the protagonist.
So far, Naughty Dog has had a lot of trouble organizing their work in a way that would allow them to work on two projects at the same time. The first attempt was made in 2009, when the team split into two groups, one worked on Uncharted 3, and the other on the first The Last of Us.
However, the division wasn't fully maintained, and people were moved between the teams depending on where they were needed. In 2021, the then-CEO of Naughty Dog, Evan Wells, itted that the studio still hadn't managed to reach a point where it had two truly separate teams working in parallel.
