The Matrix Awakens Found in PSN Database
According to leaks, a game titled Matrix Awakens is being developed on Unreal Engine 5. The game's story is supposed to be related to the movie Matrix: Resurrections.
In a nutshell:
- There was a leak from PSN, from which we learned about the existence of a new game set in the Matrix universe - Matrix Awakens;
- All that's known at the moment is that it's coming out on PS5, is powered by Unreal Engine 5, and its promotional artwork appeared on PSN;
- We will learn more about the title most likely either around the release of the film, or during the alleged Matrix event in Fortnite.
With the premiere of Matrix: Resurrection, its advertising campaign is pickiong up steam. According to leaks from PlayStation Network shared on Reddit, one of its elements is to be a tie-in game titled Matrix Awakens. Unfortunately, currently the only information about this title are images pulled from PSN and the fact that it is to come out on PS5 and is being developed on Unreal Engine 5.

According to Fortnite leaker, it is highly likely that the game will come out on one of two dates. The first, of course, is the world premiere of the movie (December 22), while the second could be the second half of December, for the alleged Fortnite vs Matrix crossover, which has been rumored for several weeks now.
Based on the information currently available, it's hard to deduce what exactly this title would look like. Either way, it wouldn't be the first time the brand has had an affair with digital entertainment. One need only recall the existence of such positions as the action adventure game The Matrix Online - unfortunately, long closed.
Considering that the premiere of Matrix: Resurrection will take place on December 22, it's unlikely we'll have to wait too long for details about the game - if the leak is true, of course.
