Obsidian Apologizes for Remastered The Outer Worlds
The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition has been heavily criticized by gamers, mainly due to the game's poor optimization. Obsidian Entertainment has apologized for the condition of the remaster and announced an update.

Recently a representative of Obsidian Entertainment referred to this situation on Reddit and apologized for the difficulties that owners of the refreshed version of the game have to contend with.
"I am sorry that you all have been experiencing performance issues with The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition. I understand how frustrating this can be, and I assure you the team at Private Division is working on getting a patch out as soon as possible. When we have more information about that patch we'll be sure to let folks know."
For now, we don't know any details related to the said patch, but there is no doubt that the remaster needs it. Many PC gamers report, that even on powerful hardware (e.g., with an RTX 4090) and with reduced graphics settings The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition has trouble maintaining a stable 30 frames per second. Performance issues also plague the console versions.
