Windows 10 for older processors. Will games run better on Windows 11 than on Windows 10?

This question was asked by the people who run the Testing Games channel on YouTube, and using an early version of the new system, they conducted a benchmark, the result of which you can see above. The comparison included 11 titles: The Witcher 3.

The first thing that strikes the eye is... lack of major differences. All the aforementioned games run very similarly regardless of whether they run on Windows 10 or 11. It is worth noting, however, that the tests used a fairly powerful computer, equipped with an Intel i9 10900K processor at 3.7 GHz, a GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card with 8 GB of VRAM, 32 GB of RAM and two 1 TB Ssmsung 970 EVO M.2 2280 SSDs. On weaker hardware configurations the differences would probably be greater but we still have to wait for a test confirming this.

We remind you that is you're feeling brave you can try out Microsoft's new system without having to wait for its official release in the fall. Guides on how to Windows 11 Insider Preview build 22000.51 are available on the web.
