X-Plane 11 gets a demo and beta
Creators of X-Plane 11, an advanced flight simulator, have released a free demo and a beta version - the access to the latter is limited to players who buy the game in advance.
X-Plane 11, the next installment in one of the most advanced flight simulation series, is getting closer to its release, and you can now try out its demo or help beta test the game. While the former is 100 percent free (you can get the demo from here), beta access is restricted to those who have pre-ordered the game – sold digitally within X-Plane 10 and 11 bundle for for $59.99. Keep in mind, though, that the beta version is incomplete and buggy, which may impair the working of some of its features and cause frame rate drops.
As usually, X-Plane 11 will let you steer various modern planes and helicopters. As befits a simulator, controlling flying machines is very complex and thus requires some knowledge from the player, which is an obvious advantage for all enthusiasts of aviation. On the other hand, newcomers can make use of numerous guides and improved UI. This time around, the developers from Laminar Research team brag about detailed 3D cockpits, improved environments, and “living” airports, filled with AI-controlled service vehicles and other planes.
