Leaked Release Date of Ubisoft's New Shooter Seems Dangerously Close to Call of Duty
New rumors suggest the imminent release of the online shooter XDefiant. The problem is that it is due less than two weeks before the debut of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

Credible release date rumors concerning XDefiant, the new online shooter from Ubisoft, have surfaced online.
- They claim that the release is expected to take place on October 28, this year
- The source of these reports is the well-known leaker MW2 OG, who has a very good reputation for rumors and leaks, so we give some credence to his words.
- MW2 OG warns that October 28 is only the currently planned release date and Ubisoft's plans may still change.
Recall that XDefiant will use a free-to-play model. The game is headed for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
Initially, Ubisoft had hoped for a late August release, but due to bugs, Sony and Microsoft refused to grant certification to the project. The developers quickly made the necessary corrections and sent an improved version for testing. At the time they claimed that if everything went according to plan, the game would be released at the end of September, but as you can see, this did not happen.
October 28, therefore, seems a realistic date, as it gives the devs enough time to fix the bugs. The problem is that at the same time this date would be very risky. After all, November 10 marks the release of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.
