Xiaomi Prepares a Smartphone With 200W Charging; Full Battery in 10 Minutes
The latest leaks indicate that Xiaomi does not stop working on new technologies for fast charging of smartphone batteries. In fact, the Chinese manufacturer is expected to introduce a phone with 200W charging to stores later this year.
Xiaomi is currently the leader when it comes to charging technology for mobile devices. The manufacturer has long experimented with many solutions to speed up or facilitate the process of recharging smartphone battery. Recently, we wrote, for example, about the Mi Air Charge technology, which allows for wireless charging of devices located at a distance of several meters from a power source. According to GSMArena, leaks from a verified source of information in China indicate that Xiaomi is preparing for an imminent launch of a phone with a charging system of more than 200 watts.
Thus, the battery of the phone equipped with the new system will be charged from zero to one hundred percent in about ten minutes. It is worth noting that the power of more than 200 W provided by the source is the sum of the efficiency of wireless, reverse, and wired charging of the device. Realistically, the wired battery will provide about 130-150 W of energy, which will still leave the competition far behind. Let's add that the previous king in the category is the flagship Xiaomi Mi Ultra 10, whose overall performance is about 185 watts (120 watts for wireless charging, 55 watts for wireless, and 10 watts for reverse).
Xiaomi Mi 11 does not include this device in the box, same as all other models of the manufacturer.
Increasingly better battery charging systems for smartphones are not only the result of the arms race between individual manufacturers.
