During The Game Awards Gala, Sega announced that Yakuza 6: The Song of Lifeare heading to PC and Xbox One . This way, s of both platforms will be able to play all the remainin main installments of the series.
The Yakuza Remastered Collection contains refreshed versions of the fifth installment and will appear on PCs and XONE on January 28, 2021, Yakuza 6 will be available on March 25. Both items will also be available in Game subscription on both hardware platforms. PC version will be sold on both Steam and Microsoft Store.
It is worth adding that in the case of The Yakuza Remastered Collection we will be able to buy not only the entire collection, but also each of the games included in it separately.
The series has been gradually ported to PC and Xbox One for some time now. However, after the release of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the latest, seventh part of the main series. This caused some fans to fear that Sega may not port the missing games. Fortunately, it turned out that the Japanese publisher has other plans.
It seems that Yakuza has become a multiplatform brand for good. English edition of Yakuza: Like a Dragon was released on PC and Xbox One on the same day as on PS4 and we expect it to be the same for future releases.
All we can do now is to ask Sega for ports of Yakuza: Dead Souls as well.
The situation is a bit worse with Yakuza's samurai spin-offs, i.e. Yakuza Ishin. These games have never been translated into English, because Sega believed that there is no demand for such projects on the Western markets.
