80 Days for PC, iOS and AND is a strategy and adventure text game inspired by Jules Verne's classic novel Around the World in Eighty Days. The title was originally created for mobile devices with the Android system, and after a year it was released on PC. It was created by inkle, a British two-person studio, awarded for its production with four BAFTA nominations and many distinctions for the best mobile game or the best plot.
80 Days focuses on Phileas Fogg, the protagonist of the book and his title trip around the world. However, the players take on the role of a newly hired servant named epartout. It will be up to them to enable their employer to win a lucrative bet by taking care of all the details of the ongoing expedition.
In of mechanics, 80 Days for PC, iOS and AND is an evolution of the solutions used in classic paragraph games. Traveling around the world, we have to make a number of important decisions that will have a direct impact on the course of the journey and shape the further course of the plot. The game is largely non-linear, and during the wandering, we can visit almost 150 places, scattered all over the world, without forgetting about the time and number of days remaining until the end of the plant. The player's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the choice of subsequent destinations, the route to be taken and the means of transport to be used. We must also take care of the well-being and health of our lord, providing him with accommodation and giving him the necessary medicines. Our shoulders are also responsible for the whole financial part of the expedition and the choice of equipment, the amount of which depends on the amount of space in suitcases. In practically every paragraph of the story, the game forces players to make important decisions, making them feel they are the real authors of the story.
80 Days for the PC, iOS and AND platform has hand-drawn visuals with steampunk aesthetics and a smoothly animated model of the globe. The controls are facilitated by an intuitive interface.
