Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games is a game by Turbo Button team, published for PS4 and PC. Like other works of the studio (SMS Racing, Floor Plan), it is designed for virtual reality devices. This time, developers gave us a three-dimensional platformer, in which we traverse fantasy land and face enemies.

Plot

Like other games based on TV series of Adventure Time, Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games for PS4 and PC give us control of Finn and Jake. This time, the duo travels through land of Ooo seeking for a way to lift the curse of Magic Man. Interestingly, fourth wall is broken quite often, as heroes will talk directly to the player.

Game mechanics

We observe the game’s world from third-person perspective and are able to not only move freely in 3D environment, but also look around. Gameplay itself doesn’t strand from well-known scheme of the genre: we jump on platforms, avoid traps and obstacles and fight enemies, including gnomes and deadly sandwiches. Both protagonists have different abilities – Finn can fight with a sword, while Jake will stretch and glide. The low difficulty level of the title makes it suitable for even the youngest players.

Technical aspects

Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games for PS4 and PC places us in three-dimensional environment. Visuals are colorful and good-looking, taking inspiration from the TV original. Music is equally well-made, and characters speak with voices known from Adventure Time series. As mentioned before, the game requires VR goggles.
