Release Date: 2026
A tactical first-person shooter from MicroProse company, featuring a similar approach to the Arma series. Afterconflict focuses on realism when it comes to the arsenal and how everything operates (especially weapon ballistics). The game was created primarily for multiplayer gameplay about competing against other players.
Afterconflict is a tactical shooter with a simulation twist, reminiscent of the Arma series. The game was created by MicroProse. This company first closed in 2003, but it was revived 16 years later. Since then, it has been involved in both publishing external projects and creating and releasing its own.
In Afterconflict we watch the action from a first-person perspective (FPP).
The game transports us to a world where, at the end of the Cold War, the conflict that had been smoldering for decades transformed into World War III. During the game, we side with NATO or the Warsaw Pact and go into battle.
Developers made an effort to make the fights look as realistic as possible. This applies to both the equipment used by the armies of individual countries (including not only the achievements of technology from the era, but also old, well-preserved and still suitable for combat weapons), as well as its behavior.
Issues such as the heating of rifle barrels and their deformation, jamming of weapons, and finally ballistics, led by ricocheting, were considered.
On the battlefield, both infantry and crewed vehicles appear, the list of which includes armored personnel carriers, trucks, and tanks. Additionally, the game allows us to summon , including air strikes or bombings of a designated area.
Afterconflict allows for single-player fun, but the game was primarily designed for online multiplayer to compete against other players.
Afterconflict operates based on a proprietary engine. The game s fan mods. Players can create new content and mechanics, as well as their own scenarios.
