Age of History II (previously known as Age of Civilizations II) is the second part of the turn-based strategy series developed by independent Polish developer Lukasz Jakowski. Production allows us to take control of a chosen civilization and lead it to domination over the whole world.

Game mechanics

As in the first part of the series, in Age of History II the gameplay takes place on a political map of the world, where each country has been divided into small provinces. In the course of the game, players follow the fate of all mankind, influencing its history in subsequent eras.

In order to subjugate other civilizations, we must not only expose as many armies as possible and conquer territories with different topography, but also defend the provinces already possessed (with the help of the army or defensive structures erected within them) and take care of the economic and industrial base of our gradually growing empire.

Diplomacy also plays an important role - other nations can declare wars or enter into more or less permanent covenants with them (the names given to alliances are randomly chosen by the game). It is complicated by the fact that if we should have a leg, we not only become an easier target to attack from outside, but we also increase the risk of a revolution in our country.

Game modes

Age of History II allows you to both play the campaign solo and to play with other players in a hot seat mode. In addition, there is a place for an extensive editor that allows you to create your own maps and scenarios.
