Age of Space: Colonization is an economic strategy game created by an independent Polish studio called Intermarum - a team that previously worked on a similar project called Race to Mars, which was eventually handed over to the One More Level team.

Mechanics

In Age of Space: Colonization players assume the role of a president of a company operating in the space industry tasked with managing the corporation in such a way as to give it a competitive advantage and enable it to conquer space. As in the aforementioned Race to Mars, in order to achieve this, players need to make decisions based primarily on scientific research and work on new technologies. Apart from that, during the game, one deals with a bit more prosaic things, such as training the crew , erecting buildings, and taking care of the whole company's infrastructure. Players should not forget to take care of the financials of their corporation; the source of income may be, for example, the fulfillment of trade deals, which include taking certain cargoes into orbit.
