An arcade game based on manga and anime Akira film from 1988, which belongs to the pinball genre. The game offers a feature mode, in which we perform subsequent tasks on four thematically related tables. Completion of the story unlocks the arcade mode, in which we can play freely on each of the tables, focusing on beating records.

Akira Psycho Ball is an arcade game in the pinball category, based on the popular Akira manga and anime film from 1988. The game was created by the Japanese studio KAZe Co., which has already had similar productions for SNES and SEGA Saturn consoles.
The action of the film (and thus also of the game) takes place in the near, post-nuclear future, in which the world is overwhelmed by chaos and young motorcycle gangs spread on the streets. A member of one of them is Tetsuo, who after a serious motorcycle accident is taken by the army to a secret laboratory, where, thanks to strange experiments, scientists want to awaken its hidden power. The hero quickly grows stronger and finally frees himself from the influence of the army. When he learns about the existence of a certain Akira, responsible for the outbreak of war and the extermination of the city, he decides to find him and take revenge.
The basic mode of the game is the feature mode, in which we play on four consecutive tables, inspired by the events described in the manga. These are Neo-Tokyo, Laboratory, A-Room and Olympic Stadium. Each table is divided into several sections, in which we have a number of tasks to perform, based on typical pinball mechanics, i.e. hitting in the right order of individual elements of the table. After completing all the tasks, we unblock another of the available boards and watch the intermission scene taken directly from the film.
Finishing the fun in the feature mode unlocks access to the arcade mode, where we can play freely on each of the four tables, concentrating on bolting successive records. The game also allows you to have fun in a competition with a live or computer opponent, which takes place on a split screen across the screen.
