An expansion to Alan Wake 2, a third-person survival horror game. Alan Wake 2: Night Springs is set within the world of the titular TV show, allowing us to play as the waitress Rose, sheriff Breaker of Jesse from Control. Each playable character has their own episode.
Alan Wake 2: Night Springs is the first expansion to the survival horror game Alan Wake 2 released in October 2023. The add-on was developed by the authors of the original, namely Remedy Entertainment studio.
As the title suggests, Alan Wake 2: Night Springs takes us on a journey to the world of Night Springs, a fictional television program, which is a kind of tribute to the popular Twilight Zone TV series. The DLC allows us to play as three characters that are archetypes of heroes known both from the series Alan Wake, as well as from other Remedy Entertainment works - Quantum Break.
Alan Wake 2: Night Springs was divided into three independent episodes. In the first one, we play as the Number One Fan, who looks just like the well-known waitress Rose Marigold from Bright Falls. Armed with a shotgun, the protagonist embarks on a pursuit of truth and love.
The second episode features an Actor who looks like Shawn Ashmore from Quantum Break, who in the world of Alan Wake is known as Sheriff Timothy Breaker. His task is to defeat the villain who is hunting him, and wanting to do it in style, he wears the Time Breaker coat.
Finally, in the third episode, North Star, we discover the secrets of coffee and cosmic caffeine. The main role is played by a woman with a striking resemblance to Jesse Faden from the game Control.
Individual episodes take place in locations that at first glance look like they are taken straight from different games. Nonetheless, they follow the logic of a dream, and the stories told in them are full of various twists and turns.
Alan Wake 2: Night Springs it is a non-standalone add-on, so it requires the base version of Alan Wake 2.
