Alien: Isolation – Lost is the fourth out of five planned DLCs of the season . Much like the previous expansion entitled Safe Haven, Lost focuses on a new variant of gameplay in the Survivor Mode – the so-called recovery mode.
The action takes place on the Sevastopol space station, and the player assumes the role of the fans’ favorite, Alex. The second map, made available as a part of the above mentioned recovery mode, includes, among other things, private rooms of Lorenz and auxiliary power plant of the station. The goal of the expansion is to complete the series of ten challenges, during which the player has to perform the tasks given and fight off waves of enemies, such as androids, humans, and the Alien, of course.
Compared to the regular survivor mode, the gameplay takes place on a much larger map, while the player has only one life, so every failure means that the game is over. During the adventure, Alex has to sneak through the claustrophobic corridors of the Sevastopol station, avoiding enemies and constructing items which will grant him the upper hand in combat. Our hero has a traditional revolver and a crossbow at his disposal, among other things. After completing all challenges, we unlock awards and get points which we can trade for useful items. This way, however, our final score in the Internet rank gets lower.
