American Truck Simulator: Texas

Texas is the eighth major paid expansion for American Truck Simulator, a popular truck driving simulator released in 2016. The add-on, like all previous add-ons, was developed by the authors of the original, the Czech development studio SCS Software.

Game mechanics

American Truck Simulator: Texas does not introduce revolutionary changes in mechanics. Instead, the authors focused on enriching their game with new content. The developers have done their best to recreate the Texas state with attention to detail and to render its various flavours as faithfully as possible. Virtual Texas boasts, above all, diverse landscapes. As a result, while on the road we can ire picturesque beaches, snow-capped mountain peaks or desert; of course, there are also cities (led by the state capital, Austin), towns and villages. The companies in the area we work with are also diverse and range from livestock to energy to aeronautics.
