An American Tale: Fievel Goes West is a point-and-click adventure game, whose plot loosely refers to a well-known series of animated films, in Poland known as the American story.

The main character of the game is Fievel Mousekwitz - a small, seven-year-old mouse, whose parents decide to emigrate from Russia to the United States. The caregivers believe that there are no cats in the milk and honey of the flowing America that are so sharply marked in their homeland. The family gets on board a transatlantic ship and sets off on a long journey. A calm cruise turns into hell when a storm starts raging on the ocean. Little Fievel falls overboard and, carried by high waves, is thrown ashore near New York City. Separated from his parents, the mouse must now try to survive in the big metropolis and find its relatives at all costs.
