Anomaly: Warzone Earth HD is a modified for mobile devices version of the popular strategy game developed by 11 bit studios. The game shows an unconventional approach to the tower defense genre – instead of defending from waves of enemies, the player is storming the defense fortifications.
Gameplay
In comparison to the original game, the gameplay mechanics remain almost unchanged. In the game the player becomes the attacking side of the conflict. He controls a convoy which is tasked with safely getting through territories controlled by aliens. During the game the player can decide about the types of vehicles in the convoy and their positions. One can also use special abilities of various units such as smoke cover, placing traps or using air strike. Each level of the game has completely different objectives which force using different combat strategies and squad configurations.
The story of the game continues the plot started in Anomaly: Warzone Earth and it offers a completely new campaign consisting of 15 missions. The missions take place on new maps that are completely remodeled to fit the new story. This time the commander isn’t present on the battlefield – now the orders are given directly to the squad which by default can be found in the center of the screen.
