Mechanics

The title is described by the creators as a "jump and gun" type platformer. The game focuses primarily on traversing locations filled with various dangers and enemies. Unlike similar games such as Broforce, gameplay is not just about shooting. Developers have put at our disposal a lot of possibilities, enabling us to adjust the style of play to our preference. Our protege is able to slow down time, which is useful when avoiding traps and in combat. However, this requires a great deal of dexterity. Less able players are not in a lost position, however, as they can help each other in combat by using environmental elements such as moving barrel-shaped blocks, activating traps or shooting at exploding barrels. The game was designed to be demanding but fair. The player never feels that they have been cheated and the defeat is the result of a mistake.

Game modes

In Apocalypse Cow we can play solo or complete the whole campaign within a local co-op for two people. In addition, the Speed Runner mode is unlocked during the game and offers two levels of difficulty - hardcore Default and easier Granny Mode.

Technical aspects

Apocalypse Cow features an eye-catching visual style. The game presents itself nicely and spectacularly, offering a unique atmosphere combining elements of comedy with constant action.
