Mechanics

The gameplay concept in ARK: Genesis does not differ much from the basic version of the game. The player again takes on the role of a character whose task is to survive in a world controlled by dangerous creatures. To this end, he must hunt, collect resources and create the necessary objects. In the case of add-on, however, the focus was put on missions. During the game, artificial intelligence called HLN-A plays an important role. It has a practical function - it monitors the environment and communicates about potential threats. In addition, it offers a range of tasks of varying degrees of difficulty, including escorting weaker creatures or fighting waves of enemies.

Among the novelties that can be found in the ARK: Genesis are new environments. This add-on allows you to explore marine biomes, volcanic, mountain peaks and entrust the low gravity moon. Each of these areas has its own unique fauna and flora. In the expansion, not only known from ARK: Survival Evolved dinosaurs stand in the way of the player. Among the species found in the ARK: Genesis are also spiders spinning in nets, lava lizards and huge turtles, on whose shells you can build bases.

ARK: Genesis also introduces a number of new facilities to be built, including fishing nets and mining rigs. There are also other means of transport (e.g. hovercraft) and interactive objects to the base, such as alarm systems.

Technical aspects

ARK: Genesis is not a stand-alone add-on, so it requires a basic version of the game to work.
