Armored Core 2: Another Age is a standalone expansion to Armored Core 2 and its direct sequel. This shooter with tactical elements was developed by FromSoftware, the studio also responsible for the rest of the series.
Armored Core 2: Another Age is set five years after Armored Core 2. Its story serves as the finale to a tale which began back in the first game. While the Earth's government tries to achieve its goals and three megacorps - Zio Matrix, Emeraude and Balena - fight each other for influence, a new player makes themselves known - a rebel group known as Indies. The player's role amidst this chaos is to help establish a new world order.
Armored Core 2: Another Age makes use of the third-person perspective (TPP). The gameplay doesn't differ much from the previous games, especially Armored Core 2. The game does, however, offer a huge number of missions, that being over a hundred; these all take place on open maps and can be completed in various ways. We can eliminate enemies using an extensive weapon roster.
The series hallmark feature, modifying mechs, makes its return here. We can adapt our machines to individual preferences and to the conditions present on each map.
Armored Core 2: Another Age s singleplayer and multiplayer. Aside from its story campaign it offers competitive game modes and special co-op missions. Co-op is playable on a split screen or over a local network; the Japanese version of the game s online play.
The visuals of Armored Core 2: Another Age don't differ much from those shown in Armored Core 2.
