After four years of Asheron's Call, Microsoft decided to finance its successor. The work was entrusted to the Turbine Entertainment team, the same team that was responsible for the original. According to the creators, this is the first game that will not age graphically. It was created on the basis of the new Turbine Engine 2.0 (mechanism responsible for audio-visual and gameplay), awarded at the E3 fair in 2001. This engine provides smooth scaling of graphics quality depending on the capabilities of the 's computer hardware. The technology is to use, where possible, greater computing power of processors and new models of graphics cards to display new variants of graphics. This is not, of course, at the expense of owners of slower computers, on which the game is also supposed to run very smoothly.
Like its predecessor, Asheron's Call 2 enables thousands of players to play simultaneously in the virtual fantasy world. The changes were mainly aimed at improving the quality of graphics so that the huge land where the action takes place is made very realistically. Among other things, the natural conditions, e.g. wind and the appearance of the sky, have been accurately recreated. In the game you will find all the characteristics of cRPG, such as extensive character development, selection of equipment from a wide range of objects, both ordinary and magical, and exploring the mysterious world.
