One may dislike Microsoft, but there is no denying that when they invest in an undertaking, they make it big. Asheron’s Call, Microsoft’s response to Ultima Online and EverQuest, is no different. In this MMORPG, Microsoft, or Turbine Entertainment that is the actual producer, managed to combine great graphics, awesome gameplay and surprisingly quick transmission via the Internet, thanks to which the game is mostly playable even in Europe.
There’s no point in writing much about Asheron’s Call, a game meant for thousands of players playing at the same time, like what makes it special, because, honestly, one must simply see it for themselves. If you like cRPG, have a quick Internet connection, 10 dollars a month and lots of spare time, then waste no more time. The only problem is that Microsoft isn’t really fond of selling this game outside of the USA, therefore some online stores may be reluctant to ship to Europe.
