Assassin's Creed II Expansion Pack
Release Date: February 18, 2010
Second addition to Assassin's Creed II. We visit the southern district of Florence, which is not available in its basic version. The plot of the extension focuses on the title Pile of Void, an incident from 1497 during which the followers of the Dominican Girolamo Savanaroli burned thousands of objects on the pile which, according to the clergyman's sermons, could lead to sin.
Bonfire of the Vanities is the title of the second DLC for an enthusiastically received Assassin's Creed II released in 2009. The add-on was prepared by game developer Ubisoft Montreal.
The story focuses on the titular Bonfire of the Vanities. This was an actual incident that occurred in the late 15-century Venice. On 7 February 1497 ers of the Dominican priest Girolamo Savonarola publically burned thousands of objects condemned as occasions of sin. Flames consumed books, works of art, mirrors, dresses, game cards, and other “objects of immorality”. These events are a background for over 10 new missions in which you aid Niccolo Machiavelli.
The DLC requires the base game to work. It expands the game not only by new missions and location, but also enriches Ezio’s selection of moves by the so-called spring-jump. Thanks to that you can jump even farther than before.
