Atlas Reactor for PC is a turn-based strategy game that puts an emphasis on tactical battles between small mercenary groups. The title was developed by Trion and is free-to-play.
The action of Atlas Reactor is set in a futuristic metropolis where rich companies fight for power. Of course, their employees do not personally get their hands dirty. Instead, they hire trained mercenaries to do the job. These groups are commanded by the players.
Atlas Reactor is focused on multiplayer gameplay and does not have a traditional plot. However, it offers numerous opportunities for expanding our knowledge of the game world.
In Atlas Reactor, the gameplay boils down to fighting in turn-based battles where each side commands a team of several . These characters are not anonymous, though, and our teammates are chosen from a gallery of clearly defined heroes, each of whom has his own personality, biography, and unique skills.
To eliminate the dull waiting for our enemy’s move, Atlas Reactor is played in half minute turns during which all sides of the conflict issue orders in a way that’s invisible to the competitors. Once the time is up, all commands are executed at the same time. The result is that it’s not enough to merely react to the enemy’s moves to win—to triumph, we have to learn to predict our rivals’ decisions.
While playing, valuable items and bonuses are cast regularly into the map. Attempting to obtain them implies a serious risk, though, since it’s rather obvious that everyone would like to get them. The gameplay is enriched by the cone of vision system, which enables the player to see only those enemies who are within the sight of his subordinates.
Atlas Reactor for PC is focused primarily on competing against other players but it offers an option of fighting against computer-controlled bots. However, it serves mostly as a way of training before playing multiplayer matches.

Game Ratings for Atlas Reactor Video Game.
MMORPG.com: 8.6 / 10 by William Murphy
But therein lies the beauty: Atlas Reactor is something special amid a world filled with one too many MOBAs, team shooters, and card games. I truly hope it takes off like wildfire, though I fear it may be destined to be niche with its Competitive XCOM flare and somewhat steep learning curve. Once Atlas Reactor clicks for you, I promise you’ll be hooked. It hits the sweet spot in match length, has loads of replay value, and scratches the competitive itch. More than that, its community seems bright and helpful, the gameplay itself doesn’t require 200 APM skills, and you’ll succeed with quick thinking and careful tactics more than pitch-perfect aiming.

Atlas Reactor is a turn-based PvP game inspired by XCOM and Dota that's refreshingly fun.
Geeks Under Grace: 8.3 / 10 by LJ Lowery
Atlas Reactor has successfully blended turn-based strategy with competitive multiplayer, and in addition has great style and personality. The big question is whether we will see a dedicated fan base and have players in it for the long haul.
