Avernum 2

Avernum 2 is an RPG, action of which is set in a fantasy world full of magic; it is a sequel to the hit Avernum. The eponymous Avernum is the most harsh prison located beneath the ground that consists of a network of caves and tunnels. The players command a party of four outlaws sentenced by the Empire for life in the underground world, cut off from the sun and fresh air.

The underground was a relatively peaceful place until a group of adventurers from Avernum murdered the ruler of the great Empire, which turn out to be disastrous. In retaliation, the Empire military was sent to the underground with the task of killing its every inhabitant and destroying it entirely.

In this tragic time, a series of unexplainable events gives our heroes a chance to change things for the better and save the people of the underground from the wrath of the Empire. There is a great journey ahead of us in which we will discover a new, previously unknown world and alien nations.
