Awkward is a simple party game developed by the independent Snap Finger Click. The game is available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4.
As the legend says, the original version of Awkward was banned because of countless family quarrels, divorces and bar fights, it caused at the end of 19th century. 120 years after these dramatic events the infamous card game returns as a video game to test players' knowledge about their friends, loved ones, and family .
In Awkward, gameplay is based on a simple formula. During the game, players choose one of two answers, while others (up to 5 additional players) have to guess which answer was chosen. This is not a simple task. Even though the first several questions are quite easy and should not cause any troubles to one's companions (they address things like pizza or pineapple). With time, however, things become more complicated, as the player has to reveal which body part of his partner he or she like most (e.g. the body or face) or decide, whether he or she would save a one-year-old child or an 18-years old person from dying. The game features over five thousand questions designed by Danny Gallagher and Joanna Haslam.
Awkward comprises a number of game modes allowing players to play alone (and compare their answers with others online), as well as in a company of up to 5 other players in both cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes (in teams or individually).
In Awkward, visuals are all about the elements of a clear interface. What is worth mentioning, the PC Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game are integrated with Twitch, YouTube, and Mixer allowing players to stream their playthrough in real time and allow the viewers to comment on the given answers.
