BAFL: Brakes Are For Losers is a racing game and the debut project of the independent studio Oudidon. Playdius published the game on PC and Switch.

Mechanics

In BAFL: Brakes Are For Losers we observe the action from a top-down perspective. Developers have prepared eight cars for us to use, at the helm of which we race on several diversified tracks; particular tracks, inspired by popular culture from the turn of the eighties and nineties of the twentieth century, have been located in places such as the sunny Las Vegas, Caribbean beaches, hellish underground, icy wilderness and even the surface of the Moon. The driving model is arcade - as the title suggests, we do get no brakes here, which means that more difficult parts of the routes are covered using, e.g. spectacular drifts. Successive victories give us access to improvements to individual machines.
