A 3D platformer using memes with so-called Countryballs. In Bang-On Balls: Chronicles we traverse vast stages inspired by different historical periods and overcome various challenges by avoiding traps, jumping between platforms and fighting opponents.
Bang-On Balls: Chronicles is a 3D platformer developed by Polish independent studio Exit Plan Games. The production is inspired by the finest representatives of the genre, such as Super Mario series. Moreover, the creators were inspired by the Countryballs cartoons/memes, where balls colored in national colors humorously present stereotypes about countries and their mutual relations and history.
In Bang-On Balls: Chronicles, the action is shown from third-person perspective (TPP). The fun begins by creating your own Countryball, which you can color as you see fit. Then, there's nothing left to do but start the actual gameplay and move to one of the stages inspired by different historical settings, such as the Viking age, feudal Japan, the Wild West or the Cold War and space race.
Extensive levels are open for exploration. Each of them is filled not only with a variety of tasks and challenges to complete, but also features treasures and items waiting to be found or elements of equipment for our ball, such as weapons, shields or headgear. To get to them, however, we have to avoid numerous traps, jump over chasms, as well as face hordes of enemies with whom we fight dynamic battles.
Bang-On Balls: Chronicles allows you to play alone or in cooperation with up to four people.
Bang-On Balls: Chronicles features pleasant graphics. The boards are teeming with destructible objects; nothing prevents us from knocking down trees, destroying wooden barricades, or turning furniture into splinters.
