Barbie Memoirs: School Mystery is an undemanding adventure and skill game, designed for younger PC s.
During the game we take control of teenage Barbie, who together with her school friends leads a team called Charmz. The action of the game begins shortly after an unsuccessful performance in music competitions, caused by someone mixing up the notes and destroying some musical instruments. Our main task is to determine the personnel of the person responsible for this sabotage. At the same time we have to make sure that the band doesn't fall apart and is ready for the next concert.
Playing properly is primarily about having numerous conversations with teachers and other school students, thus striving to make new acquaintances or to win their favour. We have about twenty different locations to visit, and in addition to the classes in which individual classes take place, such as a cafeteria, library, the office of the heaster or the roof of the school.
In the School Mystery there are a dozen or so simple arcade mini-games. For example, we have to compete in time consuming food or a simple variant of football. In addition, we have at our disposal a few interesting gadgets helpful in conducting the investigation. The available tools allow, among other things, for proper reading of drawings or familiarization with the content of an encoded music recording.
