Batbarian is a pixel-art action game with elements of puzzle games, RPGs and platformers. The title was created by Unspeakable Pixels. We take on the role of a barbarian who, together with his friend Pip (a magical bat), wakes up in a dark cave. Our job is to get out.

Mechanics

Batbarian offers a lot ofcombat, and defeated enemies yield us experience, which can be converted into additional skills for our character, significantly increasing their chance of survival. In addition to battles against ordinary opponents, we also face bosses, each of which has unique skills and and offers a unique challenge.

Not only enemies try to kill us, as also the environment is hostile; we can encounter spikes, bottomless pits or lava. Sometimes it forces us to take part in platform sequences.

During the game, we are accompanied by our faithful bat Pip. It is a magical being that illuminates our path in dark caves; it helps us during combat and when solving puzzles.

However, Pip is not the only companion we will meet on our way. While exploring the caves from time to time we will come across NPCs who will be able to us.

Solving puzzles is also an important part of the game. In this way we will gain additional experience points and artifacts.

Depending on our decisions and achievements, the game may end in several ways.
