Release Date: June 23, 2008
A first-person shooter game created for the s of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles. It is a spin-off of the popular Battlefield series. Battlefield: Bad Company is set in 2014 and the game's plot is centered around a fictional conflict between the United States and the Russian Federation. In the story campaign, the player assumes the role of Private Preston Marlowe, who gets assigned to "B" Company of the 222nd U.S Army battalion.
Battlefield: Bad Company is another installment of the hit series of tactical action games, which is a t effort of Digital Illusions and Electronic Arts. This product is also the first of the said series to be developed for the new generation of consoles (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360). Therefore, the developers had a lot of room to maneuver in of visuals and the degree of interactivity with the three-dimensional environment.
In accordance to the Battlefield tradition, the events are observed from the first-person perspective, while we assume the role of a highly-trained soldier. This time, the single player campaign tells the story of a group of military deserters, tempted by the opportunity to get really big money. The whole is characterized by a light approach and a great sense of humor. In turn, the multiplayer mode allows the owners of PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 to participate in 24-person battles in which they can use weapons from the turn of the 21st century (machine guns, helicopters, tanks, American HMMWV cars, etc.).
In Battlefield: Bad Company, we are traditionally given five character classes, each of which has specific skills to use on the battlefield. The main attraction of the game is the FrostBite engine, which allows not only for the generation of extremely large areas (equal to 25 square kilometers), but also the destruction of 90% of in-game objects (including buildings).
