A lightweight game on the verge of adventure games, simulations and economic strategies. In Bear and Breakfast we play the role of a bear who runs an inn in the forest, trying to earn as much money as possible and develop his business, as well as learn the secrets of green thicket.
Bear and Breakfast is a lightweight game combining elements taken from adventure games, simulations and economic strategies. The game is a debut project of the Romanian studio Gummy Cat, and its release was made by Armor Games.
The main character of Bear and Breakfast is an anthropomorphic bear named Hank, who together with his friends finds an abandoned hut in the forest. The protagonist decides to renovate the building and turn it into a small inn. As more and more inhabitants of the green thicket begin to take advantage of its services, our charges get to know more and more of the forest's secrets, and consequently get involved in a big intrigue.
In Bear and Breakfast the action was shown from the top-down view. During the game, we are in charge of running the tavern, which involves primarily the need to furnish the next rooms and prepare bathrooms for guests and provide the latter with a variety of amenities, headed by the possibility of having a tasty meal. Of course, we need money for all this, so we have to take care of our customers' satisfaction at all costs, who will gladly make our inn famous among the forest inhabitants... if they are satisfied with the quality of our services.
The story told in the game is pushed forward by numerous tasks, the realization of which provides us with new elements of tavern equipment and useful perks. Besides, in order to deepen the knowledge about the presented world, it is worthwhile from time to time to perform side missions, ordinary conversations with guests or exploring the forest and discovering its secrets on your own.
Bear and Breakfast has a pleasant to the eye graphics made in cartoon style.
