Berserk Warriors is an hack’n’slash action game released on PC, PS4 and etc. and developed by Omega Force, the creators of Dynasty Warriors series.
Plot
The story of the game is based on the Japanese series of comics Berserk released since 1989 by Kentaro Miura. The series was also adapted as popular anime series. The series takes place in a grim fantasy realm filled with wars and similar to European Middle Ages. At first the series had only slight fantasy motives but as the action progressed the demonic creatures started having greater impact on the world which transformed into a pure horror.
The main protagonist of the game and the whole franchise is a warrior named Gutts who starts career as regular mercenary. Due to dramatic events he declares war on all impure forces. Gutts has inhuman strength which allows him to use giant swords which are many times the size of weapons used by most other warriors in this universe.
Mechanics
Berserk Warriors for PC, PS4 and etc. expands the gameplay mechanics known from the Dynasty Warriors series. It is a third-person perspective hack’n’slash action game in which player faces hordes of enemies and many powerful bosses. The heart of the game is an expanded combat system which allows performing various attacks and combining them into long combos.
Bersek Warriors allow the player to control not only Gutts, but other characters of the series as well. Each of them has unique combat style and special attacks. The game also contains RPG features – during the battles player gathers experience points which then can be used to improve abilities of the characters.
