Beyond All Reason

Beyond All Reason is a real-time strategy (RTS). Its roots date back to 2010 and attempts to modify the Total Annihilation game. This project is the result of collaboration between independent developers, among whom the leaders are creators using the pseudonyms Beherith (project initiator), Tarnished Knight and Teiffion.

Gameplay

In Beyond All Reason we watch the action from a bird's eye view.

Renewable resources

The game allows us to command one sides of the conflict and takes us to a futuristic battlefield. Resources in the form of energy and metal are renewable here (thanks to generators and extractors). This means that we don't need to pay attention to their quantity, but to their consumption, balancing their extraction and use.

Large-scale battles and units

The superior element of the gameplay consists of fighting battles with enemy forces. The fights are characterized by a huge scale, and diverse units participate in them. Regardless of which side of the barricade we stand on, we have at our disposal bots diversified in of armament, ground vehicles, air units, as well as ships and other naval and underwater units.

Futuristic realism

Although the title takes us into the future, the creators made an effort to make the battles realistic. The physics engine implemented in the game takes care of the behavior of individual units and the ballistics, while explosions affect the surface of the terrain. This is not the end, as the game also takes into issues such as the decrease in laser power depending on the distance, as well as the limited area of operation of electric discharges and explosions.
