Beyond the Ice Palace 2 is a metroidvania created in the form of a platform action game. It is also a sequel to a game from the year 1988. The game was developed by Storybird studio and allows us to embody the Cursed King, who after escaping from the abyss of death, seeks revenge on his tormentors and wants to lift the curse from himself and regain his rightful throne.

Gameplay

In Beyond the Ice Palace 2 we watch the action from the side. While exploring locations, we jump on platforms, avoid traps and terrain obstacles, solve puzzles, and also fight with enemies.

Opponents and weapons

On our way, we encounter both normal enemies and powerful bosses. The fights are dynamic, and during them we must demonstrate not only agility and reflexes, but also tactical sense. This applies especially to duels with larger adversaries. Our main weapon consists of chains that previously held the protagonist captive.

Character development

On the way, we collect fragments of heavenly arrows, which allow us to remove the curse from the hero and regain his true power. Over time, we develop the protagonist using so-called power crystals, the essence of which improves his attributes. As we progress, we can venture deeper into the land and face increasingly greater challenges.

Exploration and secrets

Our hero uses his chains not only on the battlefield, but also during exploration, hooking them onto hanging rings and swinging on them over abysses or pulling himself up with their help. The game encourages you to look into every corner, because in this way we can find hidden rooms, secret ages, and forgotten treasures.
