A Polish first-person psychological horror, set in the shabby housing estate from the 1990s. In BLOK we play as a character who returned from emigration after his mother started sending him unsettling letters. The developers were inspired by games such as SOMA and Silent Hill.
BLOK is a psychological horror game from independent Polish developer Piotr Wozniak. The creator drew inspiration from such productions as Silent Hill.
In BLOK we watch the action from the first-person perspective (FPP). The games allows us to visit the dingy staircase of the titular housing estate, as well as an apartment maintained in a characteristic style, with obligatory wood ing on the corridor walls and a wall unit in the living room. This is not the end, because during the game we also have the opportunity to walk around the yard, iring the harsh, communist-era architecture.
When exploring available locations, we gradually uncover the plot, interacting with NPCs and also solving puzzles.
BLOK allows us to embody a character who left the country for political reasons during the 1980s. After the fall of communism the protagonist started receiving disturbing messages from his mother and he decided to return to his homeland.
The graphic design of BLOK is maintained in a retro style straight from the mid-1990s. The game operates based on Unity technology.
