Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 is a sequel of the 2018 platformer. In the game, we play the role of a warrior named Zangetsu, who, accompanied by three other heroes, must cleanse the fortress inhabited by demons.
Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 is the second part of the prequel of Castlevania series in 1999-2011.
The main character of the game Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 is known from the previous Curse of the Moon demon hunter named Zagnetsu. The hero must reach the fortress inhabited by the hellish spawn and send the creatures there back to where they came from. However, the hero doesn't have to act alone, as other heroes him along the way, who actively help him in his fight. We're talking about Dominique, the mysterious exorcist, ex-soldier Robert, who fought alongside Zangets years ago, and Hachim, a Corgi dog locked in huge armour.
In Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 the action was shown from the side. During the game, we travel through extensive locations and fight against encountered enemies, avoiding numerous obstacles on the way and jumping on platforms. We can switch between heroes at any time, which is important because they have unique abilities, which we have to use both during combat and during exploration.
The levels have a non-linear structure, and while each level has a universal path that each character can follow, it usually turns out to be the longest and most trapped. For this reason, it is often better to switch to a specific protagonist and look for a shortcut for him.
No matter in which direction we eventually go, we meet countless enemies on our way; each level crowns this battle with a mighty boss. Fights look a little different for every hero. While Zangetsu makes use of the sword (Zangetsuto), ing himself with a ball and chain, demonic essence and magical charms, Dominique uses mainly spears and offensive magic and healing spells. Robert, on the other hand, eliminates his enemies with a musket and, among other things, grenades and a powerful cannon, while equipped with heavy Hachi armor, he sends demons to hell, fighting melee, if necessary making his armor almost indestructible.
In Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 you can play alone or in local co-op mode. In addition, the game has two levels of difficulty, namely Casual for beginners and Veteran prepared for the battlefield enthusiasts.
Like its predecessor, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 has pixelart graphics from the 8-bit era. A chiptune soundtrack completes the retro style.
