Bloody Good Time features a fresh approach to online action games, letting you play as a Hollywood actor ready to do anything to get the role of his dreams. The game was developed by a Scottish game dev Outerlight Studio, creators of a similar The Ship.

The game invites you into the world of Hollywood, which despite appearances, is really dangerous. Such places as a hut on a beach, a casino, or an abandoned hotel, become scenes of bloody struggles between actors competing for a chance of becoming a real star. All due to a legendary horror maker, the Director X, who is looking for an actor for the main role in his new film. However, the actors have no idea that the reason why the director’s works are so realistic, is because people really die in front of the cameras.

The game offers only multiplayer for up to 8 people. Bloody Good Time lets you play as stereotypical characters from a second-rate horror, such as a cute blonde, a scary clown, or a muscular surfer. Regardless of your choice of character, your job is to eliminate all rivals. There are plenty of ways of doing that, so you will have many occasions to kill or mutilate opponents. You get an arsenal of 21 weapons, including guns, frying pans, or even remotely controlled rats.

The developers prepared four multiplayer modes. The first one is Hunt, where you have to eliminate a specific target, while you also are being hunted. Another is Elimination, where the last standing player wins. In Revenge each kill improves your score, but also spawns another blood-thirsty character. The last mode is classic Deathmatch – all-for-all, no rules.

Bloody Good Time works on Source engine, offering cartoonish graphics, which softens the game’s brutality, giving it a specific humor.
