Bloody Roar 2: Bringer of the New Age is the second installment of the popular three-dimensional fighting series. Just like in the original game, players have the ability to transform the characters into their much stronger, animal versions. The title was created by Eighting studio and released in 1999 by Virgin Interactive.

Mechanics

Bloody Roar 2: Bringer of the New Age, released on PS1, doesn't make drastic changes to its predecessor's gameplay mechanics. Instead, it only slightly improves them. It is a typical three-dimensional fighting game with a combat system reminiscent of such productions as Dead or Alive. A special feature of the title, however, is that the warriors can transform into animal forms that have a greater range of skills, can regenerate their own energy to a limited extent, are more powerful and/or fast.
