Borderlands 2: Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt is one of many expansions to the game developed by Gearbox Software which action takes place on planet Pandora. The authors of such games like Aliens: Colonial Marines and Brothers in Arms combines science-fiction, humor and action-filled gameplay in this title.
Plot
In Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt the player goes on a hunt with Sir Hammerlock, one of the more colorful characters in Borderlands 2 universe, by his side. The preys are some very rare and exotic beasts that live on new areas of Pandora. The hunt quickly becomes a more serious adventure related to a tribe that worships Handsome Jack. By doing so the tribe endangers the whole planet.
Mechanics
Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt takes place in a previously unavailable continent Aegrus that consists of few locations. The expansion contains a regular set of attractions: story missions, side quests, challenges, new items and monsters. During the hunt one can encounter giant insects and the previously mentioned tribe whose shamans can their kindred. The strongest groups can face a special boss.
The third large expansion pack for Borderlands 2 is intended for experienced characters – it is best to start playing it after completing the basic campaign. The expansion doesn’t increase the maximum level cap, but it introduces new weapons, including shotguns, handguns and other. The DLC also contains new look modifiers, a propeller-based vehicle and achievements.
