The 22nd mainline installment of the popular FPS series from Activision. According to rumors, Call of Duty 2025 (working title) is supposed to be the seventh part of the Black Ops sub-series from Treyarch studio. The game should continue the story of CoD: Black Ops II, with the action set in the year 2030.
Call of Duty 2025 (working title) is the 22nd main part of the best-selling FPS series from Activision's publishing portfolio. According to unofficial reports, Treyarch studio is reportedly working on this project. It is supposed to be the seventh installment of the Call of Duty: Black Ops sub-series and a continuation of the game Call of Duty: Black Ops II, released in 2012.
The we learned that the action of the game being created under the codename Sautrn will be set in 2030, which is five years after the events of the second Black Ops. Besides remastered arenas from that game, it will also offer a handful of new ones.
In addition, the game is supposed to use an improved movement system (most likely referring to the Omnimovement introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6), and also offer players the opportunity to create their own class using ten pieces of equipment (Pick Ten). The game will also include gunfight modules and zombies (the fight against the living dead will take place in classic rounds).
As for the target gaming platforms for this project - although we are still waiting for the official confirmation of their list, it is said that CoD 2025 will be released on both personal computers, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, as well as on PS4 and Xbox One.
