Chainsaw Warrior: Lords of the Night, released on AND, PC and iOS, is a continuation of a virtual adaptation of a board game developed by Stephen Hand and released by Games Workshop in 1987. The second part of the game, which was developed by Auroch Digital, is based on the mechanics of the original while offering quite a number of novelties.
Plot
Unlike most popular board games, Chainsaw Warrior: Lords of the Night is a game designed exclusively for solo play. The action takes place in futuristic New York, where a mysterious portal opens the transition to another dimension, bringing to Earth hordes of terrifying creatures. We play as an elite commander, who, armed with a powerful chainsaw, tries to find and destroy the portal hidden in the city and stop the invasion.
Mechanics
We start Chainsaw Warrior: Lords of the Night by creating our hero and equip him with the necessary equipment. During the game, we move around New York City, discovering the event cards and taking appropriate action, the result of which is largely based on the dice throw. The development of events is entirely random, and subsequent cards can contain both useful items and dangerous traps or monsters that we will have to face. Our main rival, however, is the ing time, because we have only one hour to destroy the portal.
Chainsaw Warrior: Lords of the Night contains three completely new locations where we face previously unknown opponents and unique mini-bosses. A lot of new weapons, improvements and useful equipment have been put at the player's disposal. Some improvements have also been made to the combat system, which is now even more challenging than in the original.
