Chinese Frontiers

The adventure takes us through biomes such as mountain peaks, sandy deserts and river valleys. In each of these places we gather resources and build settlements, constructing a variety of structures - from houses, to workshops, to true architectural wonders. In addition to the aforementioned Great Wall, which is our magnum opus, there are soaring defense towers and mighty fortresses, among others, waiting to be constructed.

The various biomes differ not only in appearance, but also in the raw materials they contain and the challenges they face. The process of construction and manufacturing of objects is presented in a realistic manner, including hand-carving stone and shaping wood with period tools.

Responsibilities of the settlement's residents

It doesn't end there, as during the course of the game we also take on other duties of a village resident. We can take care of cultivating the land and raising animals, as well as cooking traditional dishes, using naturally occurring ingredients. We do not have to take care of everything ourselves - some of the duties can be delegated to NPCs living in our settlement.

Gradual development

As we progress, we not only hone our skills (following the path set by Jun and Mei, the Chinese master craftsmen), but also gain access to more advanced infrastructure, allowing us to produce bricks, smelt metals or create decorative elements. In addition, our reputation and position in the social hierarchy grows over time, consequently providing us with recognition from the emperor himself.
