Chronos: Before the Ashes

Mechanics

Observing the events from a third person perspective (TPP), in Chronos: Before the Ashes, we walk through an ancient labyrinth and fight against hordes of monsters, led by goblins, golems and minotaurs. The clashes are difficult and dynamic, requiring from us not only dexterity and reflexes, but also tactical thinking. As we progress, we acquire new equipment and learn more and more powerful combat skills. The challenge is varied by ingenious puzzles waiting to be solved.

As before, if our character falls on the battlefield, he has to wait a year to return to the maze. This makes it stronger and stronger as it progresses, and then... quite the opposite, as the age begins to get more and more distressing for her. For this reason, although the adventure begins as a young person with a great command of the sword, with time we have to start leaning towards keeping our enemies at a distance and eliminating them with magic.

Technical aspects

Chronos: Before the Ashes has graphics of decent quality. Despite the cartoon style, the whole thing has been decorated with quite gloomy colors, which combined with the economical lighting of many locations creates a dark atmosphere. Unlike the original, the title does not require virtual reality sets.
