An MMORPG developed by Missing Worlds Media which is a part of a larger undertaking entitled The Phoenix Project. City of Titans is set in a universe that combines elements of fantasy and science fiction. The players assume the role of the citizens of the eponymous metropolis. Gifted with supernatural powers, they can choose to be either law-abiding superheroes or villains who strive for wealth and power.
City of Titans is an MMORPG for PC and a part of The Phoenix Project. The title was developed by Missing Worlds Media, a studio founded by the community of City of Heroes which had been shut down. The development was financially ed by the s of the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform.
The action is set in a fictional universe that combines elements of fantasy and science fiction. The players assume the role of citizens of a gigantic metropolis, the eponymous City of Titans, who has supernatural powers. Depending on their choice, they can either become superheroes who defend order and peace or try to acquire power and riches as villains.
Similarly to City of Heroes, at the core of City of Titans lies creating our own hero from the ground up. The game’s mechanics allow us to design characters gifted with various superpowers. Similarly to some of the popular MMORPGs, the gameplay is focused on performing missions, fighting opponents controlled either by the AI or living players, and developing our character.
The ambition of the team at Missing Worlds Media was to enable the players to actively participate in the game’s post-launch development. Apart from the quests designed by the developers and those connected to the main storyline, the players can create their own missions and share them with other s.
City of Titans for PC offers interesting cross-platform features. Thanks to a special application for smartphones, the players can create avatars of their characters and easily communicate with their friends, clan , and so on.
