Real-time strategy for the youngest fans of computer entertainment. Players are supposed to help the brave astronaut, who, as a result of budget cuts in NASA, has to find a new home for Earthlings alone.
COLOBOT combines both a real time game of strategy and an initiation to programming. You are at the head of a space expedition and you are assisted only by some robots. Your mission consists in successive attempts at the exploration and colonization of various planets.
You will have to search for the raw materials and energy you need in order to survive. As you go forward, you will be able to build and program new types of robots which will prove of an invaluable help for the completion of your task. You may also want to know that most of the planets you'll be visiting are crowded with primitive and insect-like lifeforms and that you may be forced into fighting them if you want to stay alive.
Build the necessary infrastructures, ister the available resources but never forget what might be going on behind you !
Explore nine planets... and on each one, enter an uncanny world and solve many unexpected problems.
Even if the stereotyped commands issued by two or three mouse clicks can do the job, you'll enjoy creating your own much more elaborate structured programs to manage this complexe virtual universe.
The only limit to the crafty interaction between the various actors of the game will be your own creativity.
