A western-themed mobile strategy game with card elements, and the first production by Finnish studio Next Games, founded by veteran developers. Com Point: West is set in a small town somewhere in the Wild West, and your task is to help the sheriff protect the town and the locals.
Com Point: West, released on AND and iOS, is a western-style strategy game with card elements. The game was developed by Next Games studio, founded by industry veterans from Rovio, Supercell and Disney. The developers intended the production to be the first installment of the planned series of games based on similar mechanics, but set in slightly different realities.
The action of Com Point: West takes us to a small town, somewhere on the border of the Wild West, and our task is to help the local sheriff to protect the city and the local community. This task is not the easiest, as the area is terrorized by an oil baron named Orville Driller and his thugs, who want to make the lives of the inhabitants unpleasant.
In of mechanics, Com Point: West combines a strategy game like Clash of Clans with elements of card games such as Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. We develop a typical western settlement and recruit gunslingers capable of ensuring its safety. The difference is that we get the heroes only through special cards acquired during the game. Every two hours, the game provides the player with a pack of cards, in which we can find not only new characters but also useful items and power-ups. However, this time can be shortened by performing subsequent tasks commissioned by the AI.
Com Point: West is distributed in a typical free-to-play model and, in addition to playing alone, also offers competition with other players in PvP mode. In comparison to most of the competing productions, the production features quite an extensive story mode, with interesting characters.
Com Point: West is set in a colorful western setting with a large dose of humor. Ari Pulkkinen, the author of the theme for Angry Birds, is responsible for the soundtrack of the game. Also, an electronic comic book based on themes taken from the game was published.
